If you need to replace entire arch of teeth, you may be interested in learning more about full-arch restoration. Full-arch restoration is an exciting treatment that utilizes as few as four to six dental plants for fully functional and natural-looking new teeth. We find that many of our patients are good candidates for full-arch restoration even if they have bone loss and are not ideal candidates for dental implants. Like individual dental implants, this solution can prevent bone loss and other oral health problems but is more cost-effective and requires less surgery than individual implants. Our patients that choose full-arch restoration can enjoy a new arch of teeth that is permanent and secure. During your consultation with Dr. Koshgerian or Dr. Shelton at one of our locations in San Diego, you and your doctor will decide if this is the optimal treatment option for you based on your individual condition.
Why choose full-arch restoration?
Full-arch replacement restores smiles and oral health benefits, just like individual implants — but with a reduced recovery time for a faster, brand-new smile.
This dental implant-based tooth replacement solution is popular at our practice for several reasons:
- Less post-operative healing time, discomfort, swelling, and bruising
- Permanent, fully functional, and lifelike replacement for multiple teeth
- Prevents bone loss and preserves jaw health and facial aesthetics
- Supports an entire arch of new teeth with as little as four to six dental implants
The results of full-arch replacement are so lifelike that you will once again be able to enjoy the foods that you love and speak and smile with confidence. Your new smile will be custom-designed for your mouth and can last a lifetime if cared for well.
Full-Arch Restoration Procedure
This treatment is performed by your oral surgeon in collaboration with a restorative dentist, who will design and create your custom dental prosthesis. The surgical procedure which will take place in the comfort of one of our hospital-style surgical suites. During your procedure, your oral surgeon will remove any teeth that remain in the mouth and carefully place your implants into your jaw bone. The surgical sites will be stitched closed, and you will rest comfortably until your anesthesia has worn off.
